8/6/2022 - Albany, New York - The International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame is excited to announce our partnership with the team at Discover Albany!
Discover Albany has lead the charge in New York State Capital Region Tourism since 1976. They are passionate discoverers, and are eager to help you learn about all the wonderful things going on in Albany County. The Discover Albany staff has been assisting visitors and meeting specialists for more than 30 years, acting as a community concierge to attract tourists and assure successful meetings, conventions, and events held in Albany.
The staff at Discover Albany works with its Board of Directors, members, volunteers, and other hospitality organizations to contribute to the ever-expanding hospitality industry in the Capital Region and beyond. Discover Albany also operates the Discover Albany Visitors Center, which is located at historic Quackenbush Square (corner of Clinton Avenue and Broadway in downtown Albany) and the Information Desk at the Albany International Airport.
By collaborating with Discover Albany, the Hall of Fame gains a vital resource to inform visitors to the Capital Region about the museum and other various IPWHF events throughout the year.
The International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame would like to thank Debby Goedeke, Destination Services Manager & Albany Film Commission, and the rest of the team at Discover Albany for all their help bringing this partnership to life.
Discover Albany is an independent, not-for-profit corporation and serves as Albany County’s Official Tourism Promotion Agency (TPA), as well as an administrator of the Capital-Saratoga Region and Hudson Valley marketing efforts.
The IPWHF Class of 2022 Induction Weekend is scheduled for August 26th-28th, 2022 at the Crowne Plaza Albany - Desmond Hotel located at 660 Albany-Shaker Rd. Albany, NY. The IPWHF musuem will be located on the second floor of the MVP Arena in Downtown Albany, directly across from the main offices of the Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League, with the grand opening and ribbon cutting scheduled for 3:00pm EST on Friday August 26th, 2022 during the Class of 2022 Induction Weekend.
The MVP Arena is home to the Siena Saints (NCAA), Albany FireWolves (NLL), and the 2021 NAL Champion Albany Empire (NAL) along with numerous concert and professional wrestling events throughout the year.
